I'm thrilled to take you on a journey that started right here in Lisbon, Portugal, back in 2008. I'm Paula, and together with my husband, Alex, we're the co-founders of NAE Vegan Shoes. Our story is a tale of love, cultural diversity, and a shared passion for creating a better world. I'm a true cosmopolitan, born in Germany with deep Portuguese roots, while Alex's roots extend to the vibrant streets of Barcelona.
Together, we've made Portugal our home, and our lives are enriched by the presence of our two beautiful daughters. Our brand, NAE Vegan Shoes, was born out of my unwavering dedication to a cause that's deeply personal and incredibly important to us – a world where the exploitation of animals is a thing of the past. This cause transcends borders and unites people from all walks of life, and that's what our brand stands for: No Animal Exploitation.
The name itself reflects our mission: to provide a sustainable and animal-friendly alternative that counters the exploitation of both animals and humans. Our journey began with a personal need and a sense of responsibility to reduce the profound impact on the lives of animals. It was 2008, a time when the world was just starting to awaken to the significance of ethical and sustainable choices.
